Musical storytelling and children’s opera in the English-speaking world

22 November 2023 · 10:00 AM 7:00 PM

This international symposium takes place at the crossroads of two musical traditions that are at once similar and different: the musical tale and children’s opera. It offers specialists, musicologists and professionals the opportunity to address a variety of topics related to musical storytelling and children’s opera, from an aesthetic, practical and professional point of view, in relation to the world of musical entertainment and contemporary musical productions for young audiences in English-speaking countries.

This event is proposed in collaboration with ERIBIA, Équipe de recherche interdisciplinaire sur la Grande Bretagne, l’Irlande et l’Amérique du Nord of the University of Caen Normandie (UR 2610) and IDEA, Interdisciplinarité Dans les Études Anglophones (UR 2338) of the University of Lorraine.
