The Research and Innovation Department is one of the university’s central services. It is directed by Aurélie Ménard, helped by her deputy director Estelle Liégault. This service is composed in 5 divisions.

Valorization division, industrial contracts, regional/national subsidies

  • Develop partnerships and negotiate research contracts with socio-economic partners
  • Raise awareness among research units about valorization
  • Detect valuable potential: patents, software…
  • Supporting innovative projects in maturation
  • Implement the innovation strategy – Assist in the setting up of regional and national subsidies

European Project Engineering division

  • Assist research units in the setting up (administrative and financial aspects) of European and international grants
  • Monitor and justify European contracts (ERDF, Horizon Europe…)
  • Raise awareness of calls for projects and funding schemes
  • Carry out a targeted and analysed monitoring of funding opportunities

Financial management of contract division

  • Executing and monitoring expenses of research contracts and grants (outside Europe)
  • Control and implement the budget appropriations of the research structures
  • Checking the regularity of expenditure acts
  • Produce financial reports – Implement budget management in close proximity to research structures

  • Produce indicators in the field of research
