To facilitate settling in Caen and at the University, the University of Caen Normandy has prepared an Orientation Week, a unique opportunity to discover your academic environment, explore the city and build lasting connections with fellow students.

Getting to know your academic environment

The Orientation Week officially begins on Wednesday, September 3rd with the Welcome Breakfast and meeting. You will receive essential information about your academic year and student life, while meeting the staff members in a convivial atmosphere.
Following the meeting, don’t miss the Back-to-school Fair, where you can discover the student-life services on campus as well as our student-life partners. This event will provide you with all the resources you need to succeed both academically and personally during your stay in Caen.
To help you find your marks, our Student Ambassadors will give you a Campus tour. They will guide you through the main facilities and answer your questions, making it easier to get familiar with your new environment.

Discovering Caen and making connections

To complete your integration, an accompanied exploration of your new city of residence is offered. On Thursday, September 4th, join us for a guided tour of Caen, where you will explore its cultural landmarks, historic heritage and practical aspects of everyday life.
To encourage interaction and team spirit, you are also invited to take part in the Welcome Olympiad on Friday, September 5th. This is a wonderful opportunity to meet new people in a lively event combining fun sporty challenges and collaborative activities .
Finally, over the weekend, the Erasmus Student Network (ESN) will host a series of social and cultural activities to bring international students together. These events are a great way to build friendships, share experiences and immerse yourself in the international students community.
