Every year, nearly 9,000 graduates leave the university of Caen Normandie with their diploma. And we keep in touch!
The project of creating a network of former students (alumni) for the university of Caen Normandie was launched in 2024 and directed by the Orientation and Insertion Centre (in French Espace Orientation Insertion, EOI). The alumni project has two purposes:
- Highlight the variety of the education and career paths offered by the University
- Share opportunities for students after they get their degree.
As such, several measures are put together to help graduates search for their first job, develop new skills thanks to continuing education or achieve an entrepreneurial project.
Once they get their diploma, alumni can also remain involved in the university’s life by taking part in events or workshops, by hiring students for internships or job placements, or even by joining the Club Phénix, the partnership network of the University. Sharing their experiences creates a bond and boosts the UNICAEN community!
ESIX Normandie and the Institute of Business Administration (IAE) of Caen already have alumni networks. These platforms help former students to take part in events to develop their professional network, to join groups and to keep in touch with their old classmates. In order to enhance alumni’s employability and to support their occupational integration, job, internship and continuing education opportunities are regularly published.
