Academic and career guidance is the third major mission of the University of Caen Normandy, after education and research.
To support student success, the university has implemented a range of initiatives designed to:
- Build relationships with secondary schools to facilitate the transition of high school graduates into university
- Inform and advise students on their academic path and career plans
- Promote connections between students and the professional world, to help ensure a successful and well-prepared entry into the workforce
To support this mission, the university offers a dedicated service: the Espace orientation insertion (EOI), which is open to all students and also contributes to the regional public career guidance service.
The EOI team is made up of professionals who are experts in higher education programs and skills development. They provide information, guidance, and support as you shape your academic and career path, and assist you in finding internships or employment opportunities.
The EOI offers one-on-one advising—available with or without an appointment—as well as a program of themed workshops. All services are free of charge.

Find out about the career of the university graduates
Each year, the university conducts surveys on the training paths and professional integration of its graduates. Through these surveys, you will be able to discover what they become 6 months, 18 months, and 30 months after obtaining their degree. Have they found a job? If so, what kind of jo? What are the working conditions (contract, salary, …)? Are they satisfied with their job? Have they pursued further studies? To know more, visit our graduate surveys page (in French).
