Campus en fête – 2023 edition: a festive start to the new academic year !

  • Post last modified:03/11/2023

To get the year off to a good start, the University of Caen Normandie organized Campus en fête for its students ! Two days – September 12 on Campus 2 and September 26 on Campus 1 – were marked by a host of events and festivities. On the program: information on student association life, discovery of the cultural players in the Caen area, exchanges with health and social players, meetings with university and student life services, sporting events and challenges, and concerts.

A variety of activities were planned for the two days, including inflatable games, fitness challenges and a quiz on the Olympic Games organized by SUAPS, and even a competition on Smash Bro ! Students had the opportunity to discover all the university services and partners essential to their new student life, from health and social services to sport, culture and the environment. Booths were on hand to answer questions, provide information and offer guidance.

In parallel, on Campus 2, Campus 2 Day was organized by Corpo Sciences Caen. They offered students a convivial barbecue, as well as games to challenge friends, such as bubble soccer, sumo wrestling and giant human table soccer.

The University of Caen Normandie boasts a rich network of student associations, with over a hundred on every campus. Here’s a closer look at three of them !

EIC - Association étudiante

“Our Erasmus & Internationals in Caen association is dedicated to welcoming and integrating international students on the various campuses of the University of Caen. We organize an average of 3 cultural and festive events a week, such as polyglot cafés, cultural excursions and themed evenings. We’re delighted to be taking part in Campus en fête. We’ve met many students interested in our association, some of whom have even joined. Students can follow us on our Instagram page @eic_caen to make sure they don’t miss out on any upcoming international events!” – Kévin, Orlanne and Tatiana, EIC members.

“The aim of the Artémis Caen association is to raise the profile of the Lettres, Sciences du langage and Arts du spectacle streams, as well as to create a climate of cohesion within these different streams. It also aims to promote Caen’s cultural life by offering students various partnerships with the Café des images, the Lux and the Mémorial. We’re delighted to be here. This event gives us the opportunity to talk to students about their relationship with their studies and cultural life. We’re delighted to have gained some new members ! – Gabriel, Lauren, Zoé and Audrey, members of Artémis Caen.

Phenyx ECN - Association étudiante

“Our association Phényx ECN aims to bring together students who are passionate about esports. We regularly organize e-sports leagues and tournaments on different games, including tournaments on Super Smash Bros Ultimate at BU Rosalind Franklin! We also put on events to introduce people to esports, with broadcasts on Radio Phénix, and in collaboration with our partners such as Café des images, for example. We’re present at Campus en fête with a games console, which has proved very popular with students, with whom we’ve had a lot of discussions. You can join the association and keep up to date with events on our Instagram account @phenyx_ecn” – Mathias, Gillian, Pierre and Enzo, members of the Phényx ECN association.
