Since the start of the 2025 academic year, Campus 2 has a new student lounge, La Bavarderie. Open Monday through Friday and managed by the Student Life Office (BVE), this place for students by students brings together services for the student community, activities, food distribution, coworking spaces, and a friendly atmosphere. Student representatives will welcome you, answer your general questions about student life and student services, and direct you to the appropriate services if needed!
What services can you find at La Bavarderie?
Starting September 9th, several services will be available every Tuesday (excluding school holidays), from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and then from 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.. These sessions offer you the opportunity to meet with university professionals in dedicated offices. You can ask all your questions regarding:
Career Guidance and Placement
Are you wondering about your studies, your internship, or your first job? The Orientation and Insertion Centre (in French Espace orientation insertion, EOI) is there to support you at every stage of your academic journey!
The team of experts in higher education and career development of the Orientation and Insertion Centre offers you:
- Tools: Career center and guidance services
- Workshops: CV and cover letter review
- Individual discussions, with or without an appointment, to discuss your project
International mobility and support for the international community
Are you planning to study abroad, for a semester or an internship? Or are you arriving in Caen from abroad and need support with your orientation or administrative procedures? The Carré international is here for you!
The Carré international is the service dedicated to the international outreach of the University of Caen Normandy. Its actions include:
- Support for students of the University of Caen Normandy: help with developing your project and apply to international mobility.
- Welcome services for international students: help with administrative procedures, monitor inter-university programmes.

Throughout the year, you will have access to a wider range of activities and services on your campus. Among other events, the Student Success Support Service (in French Accompagnement aux réussites étudiantes, ARE) will hold regular appointment hours in its dedicated office at the Faculty of Sport Sciences on Tuesdays and Thursdays!
