To enrol in French higher education, admission requirements vary depending on your nationality, country of residence, foreign secondary school leaving certificate, and the nature of your course of study. If you are a foreign national or a French student without a French or European baccalaureate, this page is for you.

Applying for an Undergraduate Degree: Bachelor’s programme, L.AS, BUT, CUPGE, DEUST

For admission to the 1st year of a bachelor’s programme: You are subject to the DAP procedure (Demande d’Admission Préalable, or Application for Prior Admission).

For admission to the 1st year of a BUT or in the 2nd or 3rd year of a bachelor’s programme or a BUT:

For admission to a Professional bachelor’s programme: You must apply via the eCandidat platform

For admission to the 1st year of a bachelor’s programme: You must follow the DAP procedure (Demande d’Admission Préalable) on the Études en France platform:

For admission to the 1st year of a BUT: You must apply via the Parcoursup application.

For admission to the 2nd or 3rd year of a bachelor’s programme or of a BUT, or to a professionnal bachelor’s programme, or if you are repeating a bachelor’s degree or BUT (from another institution): You must apply via the eCandidat platform.

Applying for a graduate degree: Master’s or Engineering Programme

For admission to 1st or 2nd year of a Master’s Degree or of an Engineering Programme:

You must apply via the Etudes en France platform

For admission to the 1st year of a Master’s Degree:
