Research and innovation department

The Research and Innovation Department is one of the university’s central services. It is directed by Aurélie Ménard with the assistance of deputy director Estelle Liégault. There are five divisions in the service.

Division for value enhancement, industrial contracts, regional/national subsidies

  • Develop partnerships and negotiate research contracts with socio-economic partners
  • Raise awareness among research units about value enhancement
  • Detect valuable potential: patents, software, etc.
  • Support and assist innovative projects
  • Implement our innovation strategy – Assist in applications for regional and national subsidies

European Project Engineering division

  • Assist research units in the setting up (administrative and financial aspects) of European and international grants
  • Monitor and justify European contracts (ERDF, Horizon Europe…)
  • Raise awareness around calls for projects and funding schemes
  • Carry out targeted and analysed monitoring of funding opportunities

Financial management of contract division

  • Executing and monitoring expenses of research contracts and grants (outside Europe)
  • Controlling and implementing the budget appropriations of the university’s research structures
  • Checking the regularity of expenditure acts
  • Producing financial reports – Implementing budget management in close collaboration with research structures
