DESCRIPTION:Making Peace with “Nature”. History of symbolic representations and practices since Antiquity  \n\n\n\nConference organized by the HisTeMé laboratory – UR 7455\, November 8-10\, 2023\, at the University of Caen Normandy\, IMEC and the Caen Memorial. Free registration.  \n\n\n\nScientific coordinators : Caroline Blonce\, Jan Synowiecki and Anna Trespeuch-Berthelot (Université de Caen Normandie\, HisTeMé\, UR 7455)  \n\n\n\nThe symposium explores historical sequences of pacification with “nature”\, following three types of conflict: armed conflicts between humans\, what human societies perceive as attacks on them by “nature” (floods\, earthquakes\, droughts\, late frosts\, etc.) and the wars that human societies wage against “nature” (pollution\, deforestation\, erosion\, species extinction\, climate upheaval\, etc.). During these episodes of destabilization of homeostasis – perceived and/or real – human representations of interdependence within the living world are laid bare\, which justifies the scientific interest of studying them in a transperiodic dynamic. Speakers will examine the discourses\, rituals and collective representations that identify imbalances within the living world\, the modes of immediate remediation and\, finally\, the projects and utopias for establishing lasting peace within the living world.  \n\n\n\nPossibility of following the symposium remotely (see information on the symposium website).  \n\n\n\n\n\nConference organized in partnership with the Association pour l’histoire de la protection de la nature et de l’environnement (AHPNE)\, Caen la Mer\, Collège des Bernardins\, Institut Mémoires de l’Edition contemporaine (IMEC)\, Institut pour la Paix\, Maison de la Recherche en Sciences humaines de Caen\, Mémorial de Caen and TEMOS (UMR 9016).

SUMMARY:“Cri d’alerte” exhibition 
DESCRIPTION:The “Cri d’alerte” photo exhibition\, created by the association La voix de Sarah\, aims to combat sexist and sexual violence in sport and break down persistent taboos. It will be on display on Campus 2 – Bât. Sciences 2\, from October 25 to November 7.  \n\n\n\nThe photographs were taken in various sports centers to represent a variety of disciplines and the diverse experiences of victims. Through a selection of 20 shots\, photographer Tom Bartowicz conveys both the psychological and physical experiences of these individuals.  \n\n\n\nIt will also be available in augmented reality on all Caen campuses and remote sites of the University of Caen Normandy (Alençon\, Cherbourg\, Lisieux\, Saint-Lô\, Vire) thanks to an application and dedicated QRcodes\, until December 22\, 2023.

DESCRIPTION:Exhibition organized by Lilit Letourneur\, a student at the École Supérieure d’Arts & Médias de Caen/Cherbourg\, as part of Tobacco Free Month 2023\, with the support of the Service Universitaire de Santé Etudiante (SSE) and the Service Universitaire de I’Action Culturelle (SUAC) of the University of Caen Normandie\, as well as the Service Culture et Vie de Campus of CROUS Normandie \n\n\n\nCome and discover 21 awareness-raising posters\, selected from the graphic creations of ESAM students and alumni. \n\n\n\nThe exhibition opening will take place on Thursday October 26 at 6pm\, before Mathieu Ducrez’s “Complètement Fumé” show at 6:30pm. \n\n\n\nOpening hours : Monday to Thursday\, 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and Friday\, 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.
