SUMMARY:Musical storytelling and children's opera in the English-speaking world 
DESCRIPTION:This international symposium takes place at the crossroads of two musical traditions that are at once similar and different: the musical tale and children’s opera. It offers specialists\, musicologists and professionals the opportunity to address a variety of topics related to musical storytelling and children’s opera\, from an aesthetic\, practical and professional point of view\, in relation to the world of musical entertainment and contemporary musical productions for young audiences in English-speaking countries.  \n\n\n\nThis event is proposed in collaboration with ERIBIA\, Équipe de recherche interdisciplinaire sur la Grande Bretagne\, l’Irlande et l’Amérique du Nord of the University of Caen Normandie (UR 2610) and IDEA\, Interdisciplinarité Dans les Études Anglophones (UR 2338) of the University of Lorraine.  \n\n\n\nProgram for the symposium on musical storytelling and children’s opera

SUMMARY:Participatory research : knowledge and recognition 
DESCRIPTION:As part of their joint SAPS label project\, the Université de Caen Normandie and Le Dôme have chosen to focus on the development of participatory research programs\, in which citizens\, students and non-scientific audiences from all walks of life are invited to take part in different phases of scientific research programs with university teams. But what exactly is participatory research\, in all its diversity ? What kind of science\, or knowledge\, do they produce? What are their perhaps specific methods ? How can we encourage the emergence of participatory research that addresses the concerns of a given population or territory\, while respecting the specific methods and objectives of researchers ? What impact can this type of research have on public and collective action ?  \n\n\n\nThis first conference on participatory research programs at the University of Caen aims to address these questions by bringing together researchers who study the phenomenon of participation in science\, and researchers and actors involved in participatory research programs. For this first edition\, the symposium proposes in particular to question the epistemological conceptions that underlie participatory research schemes.  \n\n\n\nRegistration is free  \n\n\n\nDetailed program – SAPS symposium
